Isolation Day 14: My New 3D Project

Time to learn how to use blender

So I’ve set myself a new task for the next week or so to keep myself occupied. After a random conversation whilst watching resortation projgrams with Abi we discussed what we would want if we built a house. Of course we may have gone a bit over the top.

But that did give me an idea… We may not be able to build our over teh top dream house, but there is nothing stopping me designing it in blender.

The Design

So what do I need to includein the design to make me and, most importantly, Abi happy eith our fantasy build. Firstky it needs to be in the Gothic / Gothic Revival style on the outsite and modern on the inside.

Lots of light and plenty of space are a big must. An enclose outside space too would also be nice. To accomplish this I’ve made sure there are alot of large windows and then wrapped the building around a courtyard.

I’d also like a couple of “look out towers” that we can use as a place to admire the landscape and view the stars. One of Abi’s demands requests was that the whole thing be pink.

To keep in with the gothic style all of the doors and windows have moulded surrounds, the towers will be chamfered rather than round. I’ve also decided that while most of the windows will have rounded tops except for the first floor where they will be rectangles that open down the middle that, like the others, will have no centre frame allowing for an uninterrupted view of the surrounding area.

What do you think? What details should I add? What would you change? Let me know in the comments.
