Our 1st Day Out of Lockdown

It was great to get out and about

For the first time in 66 days we actually left the house for something other than shopping. It was great just to walk around town do a bit of shopping, get some essentials and grab an ice cream.

It is amazing how many things we took for granted that is a true pleasure now that we are allowed to go about our business. What surprised me the most though was the number of people down at the seafront. I’ve seen pictures on social media but thought they may have been blown out of proportion with some camera trickery.

A lot of the shops were still shut with notices saying they were reopening soon. Unfortunately, Vodafone wasn’t one of them but I’m hoping I can start working soon, as even though our lockdown has finished I can’t wait to get started and have a proper routine again.

It turns out, now that we are free to out and about again, I have a list of DIY home improvement projects now that I can get to B&Q. The Bathroom is getting laminated and the communal hallway is getting it holes filled and repainted. I may also find a deadbolt lock to fit into our flat so my dreams of having a smart lock come to fruition sooner.

I best get off I can hear the trip to B&Q calling so I best get myself ready.

What are your plans once your lockdown lifts? Are you looking forward to getting back to work? What DIY Projects have you been working on? Let me know in the comments bellow.
